The following is a list of scholarships that have historically been awarded annually to Plainwell High School graduates. We keep previous scholarships posted here because it helps students know what to expect. We will update with current dates when we hear from the scholarships sponsors. Scholarships are usually updated sometime after Christmas break.

Advia Youth Scholarship Program
At Advia, we celebrate and promote education that engages, enriches, and inspires our young people to develop knowledge and skills for life-long financial competence. Investing in our future leaders through our Youth Scholarship Program is one small way we give back to our communities. Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors who exhibit academic achievement, leadership skills, and commitment to community.

Arbor Financial Community Scholarship
Arbor Financial will be giving out twelve $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors in the state of Michigan. The essay question for this year is: Share a time when you achieved a goal as part of a team and how it impacted you. The application deadline is February 2, 2025.

Gun Lake Casino Scholarship
Gun Lake Casino strives to be an active partner in the community through it Charitable Giving Program. This scholarship’s purpose is to provide financial support to Allegan County students that are pursuing higher education. Please use the link below for a PDF of this application. Criteria includes a 2.5 GPA or higher, 2 letters of recommendation and a 400-1,000 word essay. Applications are due to Student Services by March 27, 2025.
Honor Credit Union Community Commitment Scholarship
Honor Credit Union is going to be awarding 28, $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors in our community. The application will include an essay answering the following question, "How have you helped make your community a better place?". The electronic application will be due on March 15, 2025. JBS Scholarship 2025
JBS Takes pride in supporting the education goals of our community memebers and theier families. JBS believe education plays a critical role in the future strength of our communities. They are committed to building long lasting relationships with our community members and contributing to the promotion of financial health for a lifetime. As an example of their commitment JBS will be offering a $1,000 scholarship to a graduation senior at Plainwell High School. The due date for applications is March 31, 2025.

Michigan Education Association Scholarship 2025
The Michigan Education Association is an organization dedicated to the principles of public education, advancement of quality education, and security of the rights of education employees. There are approximately 120,000 members of MEA, who are public K-12 teachers and education support professionals; higher education faculty and educational support personnel; employees of intermediate school districts; and MEA-Retired members. The application deadline is Monday, February 10, 2025, applications need to be received by MEA by this date.

Parker Hannifin Scholarship 2025
This is a $2,000 scholarship awarded to a senior who plans to pursue a degree in engineering with priority given to mechanical or industrial engineering. Please see the application for criteria and application directions. Please note applications are due to Student Services by March 27, 2025.

Plainwell Education Association Scholarship 2025
The Plainwell Education Association Scholarship is a one-year $500 scholarship given to a Plainwell High School Graduating Senior who is planning on a career in education. The applicants parent must be a memeber in good standing. Applications are due in the PHS Student Services Office by 3:00 p.m. on March 21, 2025
Polish-American Scholarship 2025 of Greater Kalamazoo
The Polish-American Scholarship Fund of Greater Kalamazoo is presently accepting applications for our 2025 scholarship awards. The Fund seeks to recognize and support outstanding Polish-American students in their pursuit of post-secondary education. Up to two (2) one thousand dollar ($1000) non-renewable scholarships will be awarded to qualifying students. All students of Polish descent from secondary schools located in the greater Kalamazoo area are invited to apply. Applications must be mailed to the address on the application and received by April 30, 2025.

Starr Elementary Scholarship 2025
The Starr Elementary Scholarship is for open Plainwell High School Seniors who are graduating this year and attended Starr for at least 2 academic years you are eligible! We are awarding at least 1 - $500 Scholarship, possibly 2, for the most deserving Starr Alumni. This form will turn off on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. If you are in the 13th year at Lake Michigan you are NOT eligible for this Scholarship.
