The Starr Elementary students ROCKED at their recent Starr Strut fundraiser and won a glow party! It was such a fun day as classes enjoyed face painting, various games, singing and dancing. Way to go, Rock Starrs!

The PHS Cheer team is having a special fundraiser this Sunday, June 11 and there are five spots remaining! Help support the cheer team at their Photography Session Fundraiser as Gregersen Photography will offer micro-photography sessions at the Plainwell Paper Mill. Each 10 minute session for families and/or children are held from 8:05-8:30 PM and include five printable images. A minimum $50 donation (or more) will go to support the Plainwell Cheer Team! Students in Mrs. Amaezechi’s fourth grade class at Starr Elementary used the last two weeks to learn about the Regions of the United States. Each group was assigned a region and they put together a slideshow about cities, landmarks and industries to present to their classmates. Although school is almost out, learning hasn’t stopped for our Trojans!
TONIGHT (Tuesday, June 6) the PHS Choir is presenting their 2023 Musical Revue: Anastasia at 7 PM. Join us at the Performing Arts Center as the choirs perform a variety of music including tunes from the hit Broadway Musical: "Anastasia". Featuring music by all PHS choirs & a cast of soloists. Free of charge and open to the public.
Congratulations to Plainwell’s 6th Grade Soccer team who went 8-0 this season! Out of the eight games they played, seven were shutouts. The team played in the 2nd highest division, playing older teams - Kalamazoo Cougars, Allegan and Stevenville Lakeshore. What a great season - GO TROJANS! ⚽️
The Geckos recently had special visitors as students from the PHS AP French class stopped by several classrooms at Gilkey to read children's books in French. The visit even included PHS French foreign exchange student, Pereine. Students learned how to say basic French phrases and had the opportunity to ask many questions. Special thanks to the AP French students and Ms. Trahan for providing this special opportunity for the Geckos!

We 💙 our community! In March, a PCS family experienced a house fire in which their first grade daughter, Payton, lost her entire collection of Golden Books. In working with Tammy Glupker, a request was submitted through the Care Portal and Friendship Wesleyan Church stepped in to lend a helping hand. Led by Ms. Tammy Steinhauser, their congregation presented Payton with 50 Golden Books! We are incredibly grateful for the amazing support from our community in lending a hand to our Trojan. Last week, the Plainwell Corners Preschool students celebrated the end of the school year with an art show and a special performance for their parents. Preschoolers had fun showing off their hard work at a fun end of year event with their families.

The Rock Starr first graders had a special parade yesterday - an alligator parade! 🐊 In art class they have been busy making special alligators and yesterday, they had the opportunity to share their creations as they chomped through the lower elementary and office. It was an alli-great-or time!
The 8th graders from Plainwell Middle School had a great time at their 8th Grade Celebration last night where they enjoyed an ice cream truck, various activities, a Photo Booth, outside games, a DJ and sharing their memory boards. Yesterday, the Plainwell Middle School 6th graders enjoyed a special STEM Day. They spent the afternoon completing various team activities at Streidl Field. It was a great day full of fun and adventure!
