PCS ROBOTICS: Saturday was another eventful day for several of the PCS robotics students. Our four Drone teams participated in the Second Annual Plainwell Robotics Club MS/HS RADC Tournament, and one of our middle school robotics teams participated in the MS VRC Tipping Point Michigan State Championships held at Monroe County Community College. Team W.H.A.M. received a late invitation to the State event because of the high Skills score they had recorded at an earlier event. They placed 22nd in a field of 33 after the qualifying rounds, and were invited to join the 12th place alliance, which lost in the round of sixteen to the eventual tournament finalists. Their season is not over, however. After receiving the Design Award (a major award in VEX Robotics) at a tournament earlier this season, they have been invited to participate in the 2022 CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the end of March. Congratulations to these talented and dedicated robotics students and their coaches. Plainwell Pride!

PCS ROBOTICS: Three of the Plainwell Robotics Club's High School teams participated in the State VEX Robotics Championships on Saturday (February 27) held at Kettering University. Seventy-eight HS teams qualified for the event, which was run as two 39-team divisions. The division champions then played one additional match to determine the Tournament Champions. The PCS teams placed 8th and 22nd in one division and 14th in the other division after the qualifying round. All three teams captioned alliances in the playoff rounds and were eliminated in the round of sixteen — thus bringing the Club's second (only) HS competition season to an end. Congratulations to these talented students, their coaches and parents for a very rewarding season. Trojan pride!
