Registration is open for our upcoming Youth Golf Lessons at Lake Doster! Students will receive instruction & learn the fundamentals of the game of golf! Two sessions available - June 10-13 or July 8-11. Cost is $65 per athlete, per session.

Our Kindergarten and Young 5 Round-up is next week! Join us for this special event to welcome the 2024-25 Kindergarten and Young 5 students to Plainwell Community Schools. Students/families can: meet the staff, sign-up for readiness testing, receive vision & hearing screenings (limited availability), enjoy sample bus rides and more!
Three Round-up options available:
- Tuesday, April 30 at Gilkey from 4:30-6:00 PM
- Wednesday, May 1 at Cooper from 4:30-6:00 PM

The Cooper Koalas had a special dress up day yesterday. As a school, they voted and the students selected - mustache day! The Koalas had so much fun! 🐨🥸

Registration is still open for our elementary athletes to join us for the upcoming Summer Youthball program for 5-8 year olds. The focus of the Youthball program is recreation and to learn the fundamentals of the game. Cost is $55 per player. There are three programs available:
- Girls & Boys T-Ball (age 5/6)
- Girls Coach Pitch (age 7/8)
- Boys Coach Pitch (age 7/8)

The Cooper lower elementary classes performed at their spring concert last week. The amazing show was held at the Plainwell Performing Arts Center and was filled with wonder and imagination. Way to go, Koalas! 🐨💙


The Cooper Elementary Young Fives students have been learning about families and cultural diversity. Last Friday, Mr. Joshua Amaezechi shared about his African upbringing with the class and taught them a special handshake used between chiefs. Special thanks to Mr. Amaezechi for sharing your childhood experiences with the Cooper Koalas, it was an amazing learning opportunity for all!

On May 7, 2024, PCS will be pursuing a NO TAX RATE INCREASE bond proposal to continue to improve our facilities and prioritize the educational experiences of our students, families and staff.
Did you know that the current tennis courts are nearing the end of their expected lifecycle and have cracks that cannot be fully repaired? In an effort to improve playability and player safety, the bond proposal includes a full replacement of our aging tennis courts. These new courts would be located at the same site as the current courts, built with new tennis court construction methods and are expected to have a longer lifecycle than the previous tennis courts.

Mark your calendar for the upcoming Help Me Grow Books, Balls and Blocks Kids Day Event on Friday, May 3. The event will be held at Ransom District Library from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. Families with 0-5 year old children are invited to join us for kids activities, raffles, a bounce house, face painting, a meet and greet with PBS characters and so much more! We look forward to seeing you there!

Registration is open for the 2024 Spring Elementary Tennis Camp for students in K-5 grade. All skill levels welcome! Join us to improve your game while learning from the Varsity High School Tennis Coaches and Players from May 20-23. Camp will be held at the PHS Tennis Courts from 4:00-5:00 PM.
