The Geckos recently had special visitors as students from the PHS AP French class stopped by several classrooms at Gilkey to read children's books in French. The visit even included PHS French foreign exchange student, Pereine. Students learned how to say basic French phrases and had the opportunity to ask many questions. Special thanks to the AP French students and Ms. Trahan for providing this special opportunity for the Geckos!

The Plainwell Middle School Choir did an amazing job this evening at their Spring Concert at the Performing Arts Center. They have worked so hard throughout the school year and provided an amazing performance!

Earlier this week, the 5th grade students at Gilkey Elementary went on an adventure where they spent time panning for gold in the Nature Lab to finish up their unit on the Gold Rush. Students traveled back in time to 1849 to travel on the Oregon Trail to pan for gold, led by Prospector Jack.
It was a great experience, as students earned and collected gold through various activities in the Nature Lab. In the end, they could use their gold to purchase from the General Store. What a great learning experience for the Geckos!

As a reminder, there is no school from May 26-29. Have a great weekend! Go Trojans!

Due to a field trip returning late to campus, all elementary and secondary (Middle/High School) bus routes will be running late today (Wednesday, May 24).
