Last night, they held a special send off performance at PHS and today they were sent off with lots of cheers and PLAINWELL PRIDE as they left for the competition. On Saturday (3/2), PHS Cheer will be competing at the State Finals at Central Michigan University (McGuirk Arena) beginning at 4:00 PM. There are a limited amount of tickets available. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, please scan the QR code or visit PHS’ RevTrak. All tickets must be picked up at the High School Main Office. Please be advised that depending on the size of your party, you may have to sit separately.

The PHS Holocaust class took a trip to Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills last week. While there, students toured the facility and heard from the daughter of a Holocaust survivor who spoke about her life as a child of a Holocaust survivor and told about her father’s life. The PHS students asked very thoughtful questions throughout their time there and received many compliments.
REMINDER! We are only a few days away from the Plainwell Education Foundation Euchre Night Fundraiser on Saturday, March 2 at 7:00 PM. The event will be held at Taqueria San Francisco Bar & Grill where attendees will enjoy a buffet dinner, euchre tournament, cash bar and raffle prizes. Cost is $30 per person (limited to 50 guests). You do not need to bring a partner for Euchre night, you will be randomly paired up with someone and will alternate partners throughout the event. PLAINWELL ROBOTICS CLUB HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS COMPETE AT STATE CHAMPIONSHIP! Four high school teams from the Plainwell Robotics Club (Blitz, Nuclear Reactors, Pocket Tonk and Black Soul Monsters) participated in the VEX State Championship held at Kettering University on Saturday, February 24. The four teams were among the 79 teams from across Michigan invited to participate in the event. Congratulations on a great competition, Trojans - Plainwell Pride!
Plainwell Power had a great day at Mona Shores this past Saturday, where 19 athletes from PCS gave it their all in a powerlifting event which included competitions in squat, bench press and deadlift. We are so proud of the commitment throughout the season by the Powerlifting student-athletes. Next up, they move on to the State Championships over the next two weekends, where six PCS students will be representing Plainwell Power. Good luck to Kayla Baar, Sylar Luckett, Ryan McDaniel, Justin Moss, Emma Mulder and Elliot Wiltse as they head to the State Powerlifting competition. PLAINWELL PRIDE!

Congratulations to the Boys Swim and Dive team who finished in second place to Otsego only by 12 points at the SCC Swim & Dive Championships over the weekend. The 200 free relay team of Davis Nooney, Grady Nugent, Alex Steele and Sam Harper won the event and set a new pool record. Sam Harper holds the SCC record in the 500 free, won the event and set a new pool record. The 400 free relay team of Davis Nooney, Alex Steele, Henry Cox and Sam Harper qualified for state. Brandon Courtney finished 2nd in diving, Aidan Ranger finished 4th and Phillip Mathis finished 5th earning them all a spot at the regional diving meet this Thursday. Amazing swims by Austin Susens, Nolan Lindsey, Ben Sparks, Hiro Nguyen, Parker Montange, Ford Stevens, Logan Mollitor and Joseph Hoffman. GO TROJANS!
