Registration is still open for Session 3 (Intermediate) - Lake Doster Golf Lessons! This session is for 9-17 year old intermediate golfers on July 10-13 from 11 AM-12 PM. Cost is $65 per golfer. PHS School Counselor, Emily Johnson, was recently a presenter at San Diego State University for a Counselor Fellowship program through MCAN. Way to go, Mrs. Johnson.
One of the PHS LINKS II students, Hailey, completed a special piece of art for her final project. The piece, which includes several student handprints in the backdrop, is a beautiful addition to PHS. According to the artist, she is hopeful that "When people look at the mural, I want them to feel welcomed into the school and feel a sense of belonging. Feeling included is a big thing in high school. I want people to feel like they belong in our school especially in today's world." Schools out, but the Bond construction continues at the new Pool and Gymnasium. Watching the progress has been so exciting! We are looking forward to many great competitions and community programs at the new facility, so many great things are ahead at PCS!

The PHS Varsity Soccer team’s amazing season ended tonight with a 1-2 loss to East Grand Rapids HS in the State Semifinals. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication this season. At least 30 students and several staff from Plainwell Community Schools volunteered at Island City Festival this weekend. Students wore costumes and greeted festival goers, picked up trash, helped when needed and worked the parking lot to earn money for various non-profits and school groups. They had a lot of fun! Thanks to the hard workers behind Island City Festival for the opportunity!

The PHS Cheer team is having a special fundraiser this Sunday, June 11 and there are five spots remaining! Help support the cheer team at their Photography Session Fundraiser as Gregersen Photography will offer micro-photography sessions at the Plainwell Paper Mill. Each 10 minute session for families and/or children are held from 8:05-8:30 PM and include five printable images. A minimum $50 donation (or more) will go to support the Plainwell Cheer Team! TONIGHT (Tuesday, June 6) the PHS Choir is presenting their 2023 Musical Revue: Anastasia at 7 PM. Join us at the Performing Arts Center as the choirs perform a variety of music including tunes from the hit Broadway Musical: "Anastasia". Featuring music by all PHS choirs & a cast of soloists. Free of charge and open to the public.
The Geckos recently had special visitors as students from the PHS AP French class stopped by several classrooms at Gilkey to read children's books in French. The visit even included PHS French foreign exchange student, Pereine. Students learned how to say basic French phrases and had the opportunity to ask many questions. Special thanks to the AP French students and Ms. Trahan for providing this special opportunity for the Geckos!
