The PHS Wrestling team is ranked 5th in the state!!! 🎉 The team completed the Conference Dual season last night with another outstanding performance - scoring 83 of a possible 84 points in a total match for a win against Sturgis 83-0! Wrestler of the night was Michael Gonyeau coming from behind and winning with a pin in overtime. The whole team wrestled flawlessly. Trojan Wrestling is standing solely in first place as they chase the Championship on Saturday at Edwardsburg. The team's record is 7-0 in the conference/17-1 overall and are ready to make their run in the postseason! Way to go, Trojan Wrestling - Plainwell Pride!

Students in Ms. Ullrey’s class at Plainwell High School had the “crumby” job of testing the claim that there are 1,000 chocolate chips per bag of Chips Ahoy! Students calculated confidence intervals and hypothesis tests to review for their upcoming assessment. 🍪

On Monday, 16 students from the Plainwell High School Multicultural Club had a "day on" instead of a "day off" in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. During the day, the group participated in the City of Kalamazoo Community-Wide Day of Service to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King.   Their service project for the day was to volunteer at Grace Covenant Church, assisting in cleaning, organizing and yard work. They also participated in a march and attended a wreath laying ceremony at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park along with the community and various dignitaries. During the day, the students had the opportunity to meet the Mayor and City Manager of Kalamazoo, Dr. Edward Montgomery, President of Western Michigan University, as well as other prominent members of the community. PHS was well recognized for their actions in honoring Dr. King's life work of equality and justice for all people. Way to go, Trojans!

While the Plainwell students had the day off today, the PCS staff attended a special training. It's amazing to see our staff continuing their education to provide the very best for our students. Today, they were in training with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to learn more about how our district can best support all students. Thank you to the PCS staff for continually striving to provide the very best for Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders!
