She emphasized the importance of speaking up when there is injustice and demonstrated to students that obstacles big and small can be overcome. PHS STUDENT TRIP TO ILLINOIS HOLOCAUST MUSEUM & EDUCATION CENTER: Ms. Trahan's PHS Holocaust Literature 2 classes took a field trip yesterday to the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, which is the 2nd largest Holocaust Museum in the US. During their trip to the museum, they were able to sit in the new state of the art hologram "speaker", met a survivor (Ida), took a virtual reality tour to learn about Fritzie Fritzall's story (who was a survivor of Auschwitz) and were able to ask several questions to learn about what happened in history & how it affected so many people. The trip was an incredible experience for the PHS students. A special thank you to their driver, Krissy, who has gone on every Holocaust Museum tour with Ms. Trahan's classes! She is amazing to travel with and a rockstar driver - thank you, Krissy!
