
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: The Girls Cross Country team competed at Regionals and finished 4th, only 11 points short of a third place team qualification for States! Mackenzie Hill was 2nd and Grace Pettit was 7th and both qualified for States! Way to go, Trojans - Plainwell Pride!




2021 FALL CHORAL CONCERT: The Middle School and High School Choir programs put on an amazing Fall Choral Concert featuring music from the "Wonderful World of Disney". It was a magical night filled with outstanding music and performances. PHS MARCHING BAND: Congratulations to the Trojan Marching Band for their 2nd place finish at the Jenison Invitational on Saturday! The Trojans were only 4 tenths of a point out of first place behind a very good Edwardsburg marching band. Both Plainwell and Edwardsburg finished more than 3 points ahead of their other Flight IV competitors (a large margin in competitive marching band). They will go head to head again at the West Shore Invitational Semi-Final Competition at Sparta High School; the last competition before their first ever State Finals appearance at Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday, November 6th. Way to go PHS Marching Band, Plainwell Pride!


PHS FALL CHORAL CONCERT: It’s an exciting day for our choir programs, as they make their final preparations before the PHS Fall Choral Concert! Join us this evening (October 21) at 7 PM for the Plainwell High School Fall Choral Concert at the Performing Arts Center. The show will feature music from "The Wonderful World of Disney", as well as a special performance from the 7th and 8th grade choir programs.





TROJAN SWIM & DIVE: More news from the Trojans tonight! Congratulations to the Swim and Dive team who finished out their regular dual meet season with a win over Harper Creek! Congratulations to Riley Nugent who qualified for State in the 50 Free. Great swims by Madison Seibert, Grace Barth, Sophie Cox and Livy Perrin. Great dives by Taylor Seibert who won the event, Jadyn Erdody finished 3rd and Sarah Russell finished 4th. Way to go, Swim & Dive - what a great night for the Trojans!


GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY: Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country team who finished in 2nd place at the Wolverine Conference meet tonight! This finish, combined with their regular season finish, allowed the team to finish in a tie for 2nd overall in the Conference. Mackenzie Hill (Senior, left) was crowned Conference Champion and Grace Pettit (Junior, right) was runner-up. Also earning All-Conference honors with her 20th place finish was freshman Hannah Erlandson. Way to go Trojan Cross Country, Plainwell pride!

POWDER PUFF GAME: It was a great night at the 2021 Homecoming Spirit Week Powder Puff football game on Wednesday evening. The night was filled with fun competition, with the Juniors coming out on top with a 22-0 victory led by QB Maya Johnson. Way to go, Trojans!

SWIM & DIVE: Congratulations to the Girls Swim & Dive team who defeated St. Joe tonight 95-89. Great swims by our divers Sarah Russell, Taylor Seibert and Jadyn Erdody! Other great swims by Sophie Cox, Maggie Pierce, Sadie Bovin and Alyssa Maurer. Way to go, Trojans!


PHS SENIORS COMMITMENT TO MARINE CORPS: Congratulations to Plainwell High School 2022 Seniors, Jon Rocha, Blake Collard, Dakota Dunklee, Andrew Suddon, Derek Applegate and Alex Courtney, who made a commitment on Monday (10/11) at the PHS No Hate Tour Assembly to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Thank you to these students for making a commitment to defend and serve our country, we are incredibly proud of your dedication - we salute you! Trojan pride!





HOMECOMING WEEK: To kick-off Homecoming week, Plainwell High School held an ASA High School No Hate Tour assembly sponsored by the Marines. The No Hate Tour is a group of professional BMX riders who are X Game medalists that encourage lessons in bully prevention. The event was held in the gym at Plainwell High School and featured high-flying BMX jumps and various stunts, including one featuring our very own educator Mrs. Kostanko, all while sharing stories and ways to stop bullying. It was a great way to kick-off this exciting week at PHS - a special thank you to the Marines and the professional BMX riders for an awesome experience for our students! SWIM & DIVE: Congratulations to the Girls Swim & Dive team who beat Marshall last night 101-89. Special recognition to Riley Nugent who set a new pool record in the 200 free. Congratulations to the diver relay of Taylor Seibert, Jadyn erdody, Sarah Russell and Addison Williams for winning their heat. Great swims by Brooklyn Herbert, Lauren Averill, Sophia Barth, Livy Perrin, Heidi Ragainis and the rest of the team. Best of luck to the girls as they travel to St. Joe on Thursday. Trojan Pride!


TROJAN CONGRATULATIONS: Plainwell High School is proud to recognize Joel Butler and Ted Sherer for their Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Program. These students represent one of the top 50,000 scores nationwide out of 3.5 million test takers. Congratulations to Joel and Ted on this amazing accomplishment. Trojan pride!

PHS MARCHING BAND: We would like to wish a huge congratulations to the Trojan Marching Band for earning 1st place in MCBA's Flight IV competition in Belding today! The band also earned caption awards for Best Visual Effect and Best General Effect.
The band improved their score by six points from two weeks ago at Rockford scoring higher than Sparta, Fruitport, and overcoming a very good Godwin Heights band by more than 3 points!
The band's next competition will be in Jenison on Saturday, October 23.
