‼️ Field House Progress Update! ‼️ Many interior projects have been successfully completed and we are SO CLOSE to welcoming the Trojan community to the new pool and gymnasium! ☑️ The pool tiles and blocks are installed, and the pool is now filled! ☑️ The gymnasium floor is finished, and the bleachers are installed. As the facility receives its final touches, we eagerly anticipate watching the Trojans compete in the new Field House in early 2025! Once we receive final approval, our teams will start practicing in the new space, and we aim to host the first athletic event by mid-January. Stay tuned for details about the Grand Opening Ceremony soon! Our continued thanks to the Plainwell community for supporting the 2019 bond proposal! We look forward to welcoming our students, families and community to the new Field House soon! GO TROJANS!

Holiday traditions are so much fun! The atmosphere was filled with joy at Gilkey, Cooper and Starr Elementary Schools as the Middle and High School Choirs performed for students during their annual holiday caroling tour across the district. This cherished event features a mix of beloved holiday classics along with some new favorites. It remains a highlight for all the students and staff involved, with smiles that are truly priceless!

It was another beautiful evening at the Plainwell Performing Arts Center, where the 6th and 7th grade choirs, as well as the 8th grade honors choir took the stage. Three Plainwell Robotics Club teams participated in tournaments at the Grandville Competition Center last weekend. Highlights from the weekend include: HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION: Team "Nuclear Reactors" placed 19th of 67 teams after the qualifying rounds of the High School event, captained the 12th place alliance in the final rounds. They won their first match, but lost in the quarterfinals. "Nuclear Reactors" team members are Lauryn, Jack and Ayden. They are coached by Shannon Fritz. MIDDLE SCHOOL COMPETITION: Team "Steak" placed 7th of 24 teams after the qualifying rounds of the Middle School event. They captained the 5th place alliance in the final rounds. Team members are Caleb, Marcus, Tavi and Briana. They are coached by Summer Rosati and Matt Glass. Team "Rubber Ducky Squad" placed 9th after the qualifying rounds, captained the 9th place alliance, and were presented with the Judges Award. They lost in the quarterfinals. The class is available to any PCS family (present or future) on Saturday, February 15 from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Plainwell Performing Arts Center. Cost is $10 (per workbook). The Plainwell Middle School 6th, 7th and Jazz Band students kicked off the holiday season with an outstanding performance at the Performing Arts Center. Earlier this week, the students performed at their Winter Band Concert and they did an AMAZING job performing. We are excited to share that registration for the 2025 Daughter Dance is open! Join us on Saturday, February 8 for an evening of fun for PCS K-6th grade daughters. Event will be held at Plainwell MIddle School from 6:00-8:00 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM for pictures only) and includes a formal digital photo, DJ, selfie station, refreshments, raffle and a flower. Cost is $30 per couple ($10 each additional daughter). The Plainwell Robotics Club held its 4th Annual Middle School Robotics Tournament on Saturday, November 23 at Plainwell High School. Twenty-one teams from across lower and western Michigan participated. Two of the Plainwell Club's teams were presented with awards to recognize their achievements at the event. Team "Gear Gremlins" received the Build Award, which recognizes a well-constructed robot that is built with a high degree of attention to detail in order to hold up to the rigors of competition. The team consists of Lydia, Mia, Audrey and Alyssa. They are coached by Julie Williams and Matt Warren. Team "Rubber Ducky Squad" received the Judges Award, which recognizes team attributes deserving of special recognition. The event judges made special mention of the team's exemplary teamwork and effort. The team consists of Ethan, Landon, Lennox and Gabriel. They are coached by Summer Rosati and Matt Glass.
