SAIL/SUMMER SCHOOL: We are ready and excited to welcome our SAIL/Summer School students beginning next week on Tuesday, July 5. We look forward to a great summer of learning at PCS!


8-12TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL CAMP: Join us for our upcoming Volleyball Camp for student-athletes going into 8-12th grades on July 25-27 from 8:30 AM-3:30 PM at the Plainwell High School Gym. Register by July 8 to guarantee a t-shirt (late registration up to the start of camp). Cost is $125 per camper. SUMMER SCHOOL / SAIL: If you have received confirmation of your student's attendance for Summer School/SAIL and you requested transportation, please check your email for route information. Please remember our summer bus transportation is a combined route for K-12 students with one route at pick-up and one at drop-off. We look forward to welcoming our Summer School/SAIL students beginning Tuesday, July 5.

PCS HEROES: Plainwell Community Schools' Transportation Department and Operations Staff (grounds, maintenance and custodial) participated in the Plainwell Days "Not All Heroes Wear Capes" parade last Friday where they were awarded Most Heroic! We are so thankful for our Transportation and Operations staff who dedicate so much time and effort to providing the best for our students each day - you are all HEROES!


CONSTRUCTION CAUTION: As construction continues between Starr Elementary and the Middle School, we would like to advise students, staff and families to please seek an alternative route. This section of campus is under construction with heavy machinery, so please do not walk through this area.

8TH GRADE CELEBRATION: The 8th graders from Plainwell Middle School had a great time at their 8th Grade Celebration last week where they enjoyed various games, an ice cream truck and sharing their memory boards. We wish the Class of 2026 all the best as they transition to High School…but for now, enjoy summer break! ☀️

OUTSTANDING PEOPLE FOR EDUCATION: Earlier this week, the Allegan County School Board Association held their annual awards dinner where Christine Beach, Sue Gower and Kaley Shook were presented with the 2022 Outstanding People for Education award! Congratulations to these three exceptional PCS staff members for their endless dedication to our school district! Plainwell Pride!


MICHIGAN EXPLORATION CLASS: Students from Mr. Herbert’s Michigan Exploration class took a field trip to the Allegan Event Center earlier this week. Each trimester this class takes a field trip that showcases what Michigan has to offer: 1st trimester students went kayaking, 2nd trimester they went skiing/snowboarding and 3rd trimester they went to the Allegan Event Center. It has been a great experience for the students to see all that our amazing state has to offer!


BECOME AN OFFICIAL: Will you help? High school officials are urgently needed in all sports, from swimming and softball to wrestling and volleyball. MIDDLE SCHOOL CHOIR: Last night, the Middle School held a wonderful all choirs concert! The students and directors did an amazing job during the performance - Plainwell Pride! 🎶


TROJAN VARSITY SOCCER: Best of luck to the PHS Girls Varsity Soccer team who will be competing in the District Finals on Friday, June 3! The team will be playing at Zeeland East High School beginning at 6:00 PM.

CLASS OF 2022 GRADUATION: It's been 24 hours since the Class of 2022 graduation and we are still excited about this awesome night celebrating our seniors. The weather provided a perfect evening at Streidl Field to honor our Class of 2022 at their commencement ceremony. We are incredibly proud of the graduating class for all of the hard work and dedication to their education during their time at PHS!
