We are excited to announce that PHS Junior, Laura Groner, took 1st place in the 11th grade category last night at the West Michigan Holocaust Partnership's Henry Pestka Art & Poetry Contest at Frederik Meijer Gardens, where PCS was one of less than 10 districts represented! During her visit to Frederik Meijer Gardens, Laura, her parents and Ms. Trahan (PHS teacher) had the chance to see the top 10 finalists in each category, attend a dinner reception/awards ceremony and visit the Sculpture Park to see "Ways to Say Goodbye" which was recently gifted to Frederik Meijer Gardens by the Pestka family. Earlier this week, Plainwell High School held their Tri-M Ceremony. Tri-M is a National Honors Society for High School music students that meet and maintain certain criteria in the areas of academics, music, service and leadership. Though Tri-M has been established for many, many years, Plainwell has never had its own chapter - until this year! On Tuesday we officially inducted this year's Tri-M members: all top achieving junior and senior band students. It was a lovely ceremony planned and led by students officers: Daegan Sayles-Devine, Savannah Bowsher, Sydney Budiwarman, Calvin Strader and Liv Perrin. The evening concluded with musical performances by several members and a reception for friends and family. Plainwell Pride!
