The first grade students in Mrs. Gonyeau's class at Starr Elementary celebrated the 101st day of school...Dalmatian style! During the day, they incorporated 101 into their art, writing, reading and math activities. The students especially enjoyed writing about their imaginary Dalmatians and the amusing things they enjoy doing. It was a great day of fun and learning for the first grade Rock Starrs! 🐾

Throughout the year, we look forward to continuing to share our outstanding Middle School Students of the Week! Special thanks to our Student of the Week sponsors: Fly Inn, Barbed Wire Cafe and Taqueria San Francisco. We greatly appreciate your support of PCS and our students - Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders.

Throughout the year, PHS NHS members have diligently worked to lead and make a positive impact in our community, all while maintaining an average GPA of 3.93. Through their involvement in the NHS, members have devoted countless hours to community service. Last year alone, they completed an impressive 456.25 hours by tutoring high school students, volunteering at various building events, organizing the Hangar Clothing Closet, decorating bags for Kids' Food Basket, creating Christmas cards for nursing homes, assisting with the Christmas Project, participating in the Operation Gratitude letter-writing campaign for troops and first responders and decorating the halls for the "All Trojans are Loved and Welcome Here" Valentine's Campaign. It is truly inspiring to witness how their time and leadership greatly benefit PCS and our community!

The 2025 Daughter Dance was SO MUCH FUN!! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the annual Daughter Dance last Saturday. A special thanks to our fantastic DJ, Terry Holroyd, for creating a fun atmosphere with great music, as well as Kathy Elliott and the Middle School NJHS for their volunteer efforts. We also appreciate Becky Howrigon and her team for capturing formal photos. It was a wonderful and special evening for all at the 2025 Daughter Dance!

Due to winter weather and difficult travel conditions, Plainwell Community Schools will be closed tomorrow (Thursday, February 13). This closure includes the SAFE and ECEC programs. We wish our students, staff and families a safe snow day!

Middle School Athlete of the Week - Kaelyn Seibert! Kaelyn has shown a great deal of leadership in and outside of the pool. She has demonstrated what it means to take charge under high pressure situations. In practice she has been one who has taken charge of leading by example and pushing others to grow as individuals through the hard workouts. Kaelyn was a vital asset to her relay teams and a loud supporter of her teammates on the sidelines. Kaelyn exemplifies what it means to be a Student Athlete. Way to go, Kaelyn!
