GILKEY BIKE TRIP: It was the perfect day for the Gilkey Elementary 4th and 5th grade students to take their annual bike trip throughout Plainwell. They stopped at various spots along the way to learn about bicycle safety. A very special thank you to Bob Farris, Plainwell Public Safety, the Gilkey Staff and the many parent volunteers who made this an amazing experience for the Geckos!
STARR PUBLIC SAFETY VISIT: The Kindergarten students from Starr Elementary took a trip to Plainwell Public Safety where they learned about fire safety. During the visit, students received a tour of a fire truck, sprayed a fire hose and met with firefighters to learn all about the importance of fire safety. A very special THANK YOU to Public Safety Director Kevin Callahan and Firefighters Ron Farr and David Kuitert for a great visit and awesome learning experience at the fire station!
2022 HOMECOMING PARADE: Mark your calendar, we are just ONE WEEK away from the 2022 Homecoming Parade! Join us to support PHS and cheer on the Trojans beginning at 1:20 PM on Friday, September 30. JV FOOTBALL: Congratulations to the PHS JV Football team on their victory over Edwardsburg High School (12-8) tonight at Streidl Field. It was a great game, GO TROJANS!
7TH & 8TH GRADE FOOTBALL: The Middle School 7th and 8th grade Football teams kicked off their season last night against Three Rivers. The games were the first ever Middle School Football games at Streidl Field! Both teams, along with the Middle School Cheerleaders, have been working hard on and off the field preparing for the football season! Trojan Pride!
READERS THEATER: Students from Mrs. Adams 3rd grade class at Cooper Elementary have been spending recess time doing Readers Theater performances for fellow students. Great job, Koalas!
PHS ART CLASS: Mrs. Beltowski's beginning painting students at Plainwell High School explored the art of Neurographic Doodles. Students learned how to connect abstract shapes in a unified design. Watercolor techniques and layers of mixed media was added to create harmony and emphasis. Beautiful work, Trojans!

CHOIR TEAM BUILDING: Miss Quillian’s 6th grade choir class at Plainwell Middle School had a great time during their team building activity today! Mr. Manting and Mrs. Seibert even joined the group for the team building fun!

GIRLS SWIM & DIVE: The PHS Girls Swim and Dive team would like to thank Otsego Swim & Dive for including them in the very special Purple Week. Both teams joined in wearing purple to honor those we have lost to cancer, those who are battling cancer and those who have survived cancer. MIDDLE SCHOOL LINKS: Mrs. Callaghan's LINKS class at Plainwell Middle School had a great time getting to know each other through team building activities. LINKS is a peer to peer program that pairs up students to increase their academic performance and social interactions in the classroom. Way to go, Trojans!
TROJAN MARCHING BAND: Congratulations to the Trojan Marching Band for their outstanding start to the season at the Rockford Invitational yesterday! The TMB took 1st place in Flight 4 sweeping all caption awards! Their next competition is in 3 weeks at the Belding Invitational on October 8. Trojan Pride!
PHS FOOTBALL: Congratulations to the PHS Varsity Football team on their victory over Gull Lake High School (35-14) at their first home football game of the season! Trojan Pride!
MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER: The Plainwell Middle School Soccer team had their first game of the season against Kalamazoo Christian where they started off the season with a win 7-2. Way to go, Trojans!
