These field trips provided many amazing experiences and phenomenal learning opportunities for the Rock Starrs!
Special thanks to Matt Hall and his office for taking the time to meet our Starr fourth graders - it made for an extra special visit to the Capitol!

Students at Plainwell High School worked collaboratively in their Intro to Art class to produce a tape mural showing perspective. They first learned about one point perspective and worked with a partner to develop a design. They then selected a space on the wall and used painters tape to draw their design. These art pieces are temporary installations that will be on display throughout PHS for several weeks.

Congratulations to PHS Senior, Connor Gaylord, who recently passed the Certified Solidworks Professional certification test through the Allegan Area ESA Tech Center. This certification was the second in a series of internationally recognized tests: Certified Solidworks Associate (CSWA), Certified Solidworks Professional (CSWP) and Certified Solidworks Expert (CSWE). According to his Instructor, Dr. Quattrin, there have been several students who passed the CSWA (including Connor last spring); however, this is the first time he had a student pass all three sections of the CSWP. This test is usually taken by professionals who have 2-4 years of 40 hour/week experience and is achieved by few high school students worldwide. Way to go, Connor, this is an incredible accomplishment - PLAINWELL PRIDE!
