Great day for Trojan Cheer as the Middle School, JV and Varsity teams all took 1st place at the Cheer Fest competition at PHS! Way to go Trojans, Plainwell Pride! 💙

The Plainwell Middle School Basketball team had some special guests at their game earlier this week - the Michigan State University Men’s Golf Team! The team came to watch and support Cam Larsen in his game! Larsen, an eighth grader who was was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at nine years old, has been paired with the MSU Men’s Golf Team through Team Impact, a program that “matches children facing serious illness and disability with college sports teams, creating a long-term, life-changing experience for everyone involved”. Cam had a successful night winning the tip off and scoring 16 points! Special thanks to the MSU Men’s Golf Team for your support of Cam and joining us to cheer on the Trojan Basketball team!

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the district’s phone lines and internet are currently down. We are working to have this repaired as quickly as possible.

Our Middle School Cheer team worked hard all summer long fundraising for new uniforms. Last night all their hard work paid off and they received their new uniforms for the 23-24 season! Their first competition will take place this Saturday at Plainwell High School, good luck and GO TROJANS!

We are excited to share the Plainwell Middle School Students of the Week! We are proud of your hard work and dedication. Way to go, Trojans!
Nyra (8th Grade): Nyra is not only a fabulous student, but she is very kind, respectful and helpful to her fellow classmates. When working in pairs, she helps them with understanding the material and also with pronunciation of vocabulary. It has been an absolute pleasure to have her in my Spanish class!
Addisyn (7th Grade): Addisyn is a thoughtful, caring and kind citizen in the class. She always greets me with a smile and "Hello!" followed by a genuine inquiry of my well-being. Addisyn always takes care to complete her work, asks questions when she needs assistance, participates in class discussion and activities, and seeks out extension activities. She regularly shares about thoughtful things that she selflessly does for her friends and about how she helps out at home. Addisyn is a role model to others and a pleasure to have in class!
Nicholas (6th Grade): Nicholas is a thoughtful citizen in the classroom. He always listens intently, begins his work right away, and asks questions when needed. Nicholas regularly participates in class discussion and eagerly shares about his makerspace-type projects that he completes outside of school. When a classmate is in need of help, Nicholas readily offers his assistance and then returns to his work. I appreciate his willingness to accept and apply feedback, his responsible conduct in the classroom and his fascination for learning!
Throughout the year, we look forward to continuing to share our outstanding Middle School Students of the Week! GO TROJANS!
Special thanks to our Student of the Month sponsors: Fly Inn, Mayor's Joint, Barbed Wire Cafe and Taqueria San Francisco. We greatly appreciate your support of PCS and our students - Today’s Learners, Tomorrow’s Leaders!

To kick-off the Competitive Cheer season and help promote the community of cheer, the teams held a one program, one meal for all of Plainwell Cheer last night. For the event, they had almost 80 girls at the Middle and High School level, as well as their families attend where they shared a meal and each High Schooler received one “little” on the Middle School team who they will be supporting throughout the season. The coaching staff also explained competitive cheerleading and how judging works for those who are new to the program. It was an amazing event, we are excited to see where this sport is going at PCS! PLAINWELL PRIDE!
