TICKET INFORMATION: We are excited to be hosting this MHSAA tournament at Plainwell High School! This event is sponsored and run by the MHSAA. As we have communicated, these MHSAA tournaments will require digital ticketing and cash will not be accepted at the gates for the MHSAA tournament matches/games. Tonight at the PHS vs. Grand Rapids South Christian football game we are NOT ALLOWED to accept cash, as this is a tournament event run by the MHSAA and they have a no cash policy.
We encourage you to still attend the game to cheer on the Trojans, but please note that tickets must be purchased online in advance! There are two ways you can purchase tickets:
1. Go to Go Fan HQ and search Plainwell High School. Click on Plainwell High School and our page will pop up. On the page you’ll find tickets for Friday night’s football game and girls volleyball tickets for Districts in Allegan on Monday, November 1. Tournament tickets are $6. Season passes, Gold Cards (senior citizen passes), Wolverine Conference passes or employee badges will not be accepted.
2. The second way to purchase tickets is to visit https://gofan.co/app/school/MI10255. This link will take you to the PHS page on Go Fan, where you can purchase tickets online.

WATER DRIVE REMINDER: As a reminder, tomorrow is the last day to make a donation to the Bottled Water Drive! Plainwell Community Schools has joined the AAESA to participate in a week-long bottled water drive to support Benton Harbor Area Schools during their lead/water crisis. Donations of cases of bottled water will be accepted in all PCS building offices through tomorrow (October 29, 2021). Let's lend a helping hand, Trojans!
MIDDLE SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHY: The students in Mr. Herbert’s Michigan Exploration and Tinkering classes have been learning about outdoor photography. It’s amazing to see the student’s creativity and eye for detail in these images taken throughout the Middle School property. Beautiful work, Trojans!

PHS FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS: PHS is hosting the 1st Round of MHSAA Football Playoffs. The Plainwell Trojans are playing Grand Rapids South Christian at Streidl Field on Friday, October 29 at 7:00 pm. GO TROJANS! By MHSAA rules, fans must purchase a digital ticket, which is the only way fans can enter or come to the game. Cash, school passes, employee badges, conference passes and Gold Cards will not be accepted. MHSAA will charge $6 per person. There isn't a reduced rate for students or seniors. Everyone 5 and above will be charged $6.

PHS VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: Are you a PHS student that is looking for some community service hours? If so, we have a fun opportunity for you! Join us to support Cooper Elementary for their Monster Mash event. There are two opportunities to help! You can join us today (Saturday, October 23) from 10-11 AM for trail clean-up or on Thursday, October 28 to volunteer from 3:30-8 PM for the Monster Mash event. During the event, volunteers are requested to help with the following:
- Help setup tables, chairs and decorations
- Line the trail and be available to help guests
- Assist with games
- Work the raffle table or hand out flyers
- Keep trash cleaned-up
- Help pack-up tables, chairs and decorations at the end of the event

MIDDLE SCHOOL SOCCER: The Middle School Boys Soccer teams had a big night Wednesday playing under the lights on Streidl Field. The blue team had an outstanding 5-1 victory and the white team won 3-2 in a last minute goal! The future of Plainwell Soccer is looking bright! Way to go, Trojans!

PHS FALL CHORAL CONCERT: It’s an exciting day for our choir programs, as they make their final preparations before the PHS Fall Choral Concert! Join us this evening (October 21) at 7 PM for the Plainwell High School Fall Choral Concert at the Performing Arts Center. The show will feature music from "The Wonderful World of Disney", as well as a special performance from the 7th and 8th grade choir programs.
WMU HONORS BAND: Congratulations to Autumn Gravelyn, McKenzie Johnson, Josie Longcore, Aidan Ranger, Donovan Ryan, Anna Schierbeek, Jacob Skibbe and Gwen Todd on their participation in the Western Michigan University Honors Band today! You made Plainwell proud!

8TH GRADE BAND FIELD TRIP: It was a great day of fun and team building as Mr. Hepinstall and Mr. Hunt took the 8th grade band students on a field trip, where they explored and completed several ropes course activities. What an awesome adventure it was for these middle school students!
