ICE CREAM SOCIAL: Every May, the PHS Student Senate puts on an Ice Cream Social. Students are dismissed by grade level down to the cafeteria for ice cream and socialization time in the afternoon. This year, the students enjoyed free Plainwell Ice Cream courtesy of Student Senate - thank you to these students for this special treat for the PHS students!

PLAINWELL SUMMER OUTINGS: Students in grades 3- 8 are invited to join us for a summer of fun while attending Plainwell Summer Outings with weekly adventures from June 22- August 4. There are two exciting programs (Wednesday or Thursday) to choose from with seven fun summer outings each. The cost is $174 per person/per program. HOLOCAUST PRESENTATION: Last week, 8th through 12th grade students had a special presentation from Irene Miller, a Holocaust survivor and author of Into No Man's Land: A Historical Memoir. Ms. Miller shared her journey of survival during the Holocaust and how the experience allowed her to grow into a successful and positive woman. She emphasized the importance of speaking up when there is injustice and demonstrated to students that obstacles big and small can be overcome. A very special thank you to Ms. Miller for joining us at PCS to share your story with our students.

ROCK STARR FIELD TRIP: On Friday, the third grade Rock Starrs from Starr Elementary took a field trip to the Kalamazoo Nature Center. They spent the morning learning and exploring. Although it was a rainy day, they still enjoyed a great and fun adventure.

BOND CONSTRUCTION: The preschool and first grade students had a lot of fun watching the concrete being poured by Starr Elementary where they are putting in a new chiller as part of the bond construction project.
