PCS ROBOTICS: Saturday was another eventful day for several of the PCS robotics students. Our four Drone teams participated in the Second Annual Plainwell Robotics Club MS/HS RADC Tournament, and one of our middle school robotics teams participated in the MS VRC Tipping Point Michigan State Championships held at Monroe County Community College. Team W.H.A.M. received a late invitation to the State event because of the high Skills score they had recorded at an earlier event. They placed 22nd in a field of 33 after the qualifying rounds, and were invited to join the 12th place alliance, which lost in the round of sixteen to the eventual tournament finalists. Their season is not over, however. After receiving the Design Award (a major award in VEX Robotics) at a tournament earlier this season, they have been invited to participate in the 2022 CREATE U.S. Open Robotics Championship in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the end of March. Congratulations to these talented and dedicated robotics students and their coaches. Plainwell Pride!
